Na obrzeżach Chodzieży, nieopodal jeziora oraz ślicznego parku, wśród licznych drzew położony jest Dom Pomocy Społecznej przy ulicy Ujskiej 47. Miejsce jest doskonale skomunikowane z centrum miasta dzięki autobusom MPK oraz PKS, lokalizacja z dala od miejskiego centrum czyni je cichym i przytulnym, wręcz idealnym na liczne spacery, a także relaks w ogrodzie pośród drzew umilony śpiewem licznych ptaków 🙂 Bez wątpienia znajdą tu swój azyl poszukujący ciszy i spokoju.
DPS Chodzież przeznaczony jest dla osób przewlekle somatycznie chorych ze względu na stan somatyczny organizmu, niepełnosprawność, upośledzenie. Przygotowano 120 miejsc mieszkalnych dla kobiet oraz mężczyzn, w eleganckich i przytulnych pokojach 1, 2 i 3 osobowych z balkonami. Nad zdrowiem fizycznym oraz psychicznym czuwa znakomity zespół lekarzy, terapeutów oraz rehabilitantów, zaś w pokonywaniu codziennych trudności pomagają opiekunowie. Wolny czas ponsjonariusze spędzają na rozmowach, oglądaniu TV, pracach w ramach zajęć warsztatów, np. wikliniarstwo, wyszywanie itp., organizowane są wycieczki o różnym charakterze, a także liczne imprezy okolicznościowe 🙂
