DPS Łubie
W województwie Śląskim, na terenie Powiatu Tarnogórskiego, w gminie Zbrosławice, w małej wiosce Łubie, w otoczeniu pól uprawnych, położony jest Dom Pomocy Społecznej, przeznaczony dla 68 osób przewlekle psychicznie chorych – 18 kobiet i 50 mężczyzn. DPS mieści się w zabytkowym, pochodzącym z przełomu XVIII i XIX wieku zespole pałacowym, otoczonym urokliwym i równie wiekowym parkiem. Zabudowania placówki wielokrotnie były modernizowane i dziś spełniają najwyższe standardy bytowe.
Mieszkańcy mają do dyspozycji kilkuosobowe pokoje, wyposażone według obowiązujących standardów. Ponadto dostępne są: sala telewizyjna z pełnym wyposażeniem (TV, TV SAT, DVD, Video), trzy pokoje dzienne (świetlice), jadalnia, biblioteka, sala rehabilitacyjna, sala muzykoterapii, pomieszczenia na terapię zajęciową, podręczna kuchenka i kaplica. Każdy Mieszkaniec Domu może skorzystać z usług fryzjerskich, oraz krawieckich. Najbliższe otoczenie zachęca do spacerów – wokół Domu znajduje się piękny park z licznymi alejkami spacerowymi oraz miejscami przeznaczonymi do odpoczynku i rekreacji.
DPS zapewnia całodobową opiekę, pomoc medyczną, zajęcia rehabilitacyjne oraz terapeutyczne – które mają na celu zapobieganie obniżaniu aktywności życiowej i alienacji z środowiska, a także nawrotom objawów i doznań psychotycznych. Pomagają m.in. łagodzić napięcia emocjonalne, tłumić agresję, oraz pozwalają osobom zamkniętym w sobie, otwierać się na otaczającą rzeczywistość i na drugiego człowieka.
Mieszkańcy Domu często wyjeżdżają na wycieczki krajoznawcze, do kina, w lecie nad wodę, a zimą kuligiem po okolicy oraz na turnusy rehabilitacyjne nad morze lub w góry. Organizowane są zabawy taneczne oraz cykliczne imprezy np: Spotkania jesienne, Barbórka, noc świętojańska itp.
