W północno – zachodniej części województwa lubuskiego, w powiecie Strzelecko – Drezdeneckim, ok. 50 km od Gorzowa Wielkopolskiego i 70 km od Piły, w urokliwym miasteczku Dobiegniew, niemal nad samym jeziorem Wielgie, w pięknych okolicznościach przyrody, położony jest Dom Pomocy Społecznej, przeznaczony dla 51 osób w podeszłym wieku oraz przewlekle somatycznie chorych – zarówno kobiet, jak i mężczyzn.
