Dom Pomocy Społecznej Dom Nauczyciela położony jest w Bielsku Białej w dzielnicy Mikuszowice Śląskie w parku Cygański Las w województwie śląskim na terenie o powierzchni 1,3 ha. Bielsko Biała to miasto na Pogórzu Sląskim u stóp Beskidu Małego i Beskidu Śląskiego nad rzeką Białą.
Dom przeznaczony jest dla osób w podeszłym wieku zarówno dla kobiet jak i mężczyzn. W domu mogą przebywać także osoby niepełnosprawne, ponieważ jest przystosowany dla osób niepełnosprawnych.
W DPS Dom Nauczyciela znajdują się 92 miejsca w pokojach jednoosobowych – 43 i pokojach dwuosobowych – 25. Wszystkie pokoje posiadają węzeł sanitarny i balkony, telewizor, radio, system przywoławczy. DPS zapewnia pensjonariuszom pełne wyżywienie w postaci trzech posiłków dziennie serwowanych w stołówce lub w przypadku osób leżących w pokojach.
DPS dysponuje pralnią, świetlicą, biblioteką, sklepikiem, tarasami, miejscami dziennego wypoczynku i spotkań, salą rehabilitacyjną, pracownią plastyczną.
W Domu Pomocy odbywają się msze święte, zajęcia z muzykoterapii, imprezy kulturalne. Podopieczni Domu mają możliwość wspólnych wyjazdów do kina, teatru, koncerty, wystawy, czy też wszelkiego rodzaju wycieczki. W domu funkcjonują chór Beskidek, Klub Bingo, Klub Nordic Walking.
Każdy pensjonariusz może liczyć na całodobową opiekę, pomoc lekarską i pielęgniarską. Na terenie ośrodka dyżuruje lekarz, a w przypadku konieczności wizyty u specjalisty zapewniany jest transport do lekarza. Wszyscy pensjonariusze mają przypisanego Pracownika Pierwszego Kontaktu służącego wsparciem, a także pracownika socjalnego, który pomaga w codziennych czynnościach. Istnieje również możliwość skorzystania z pomocy psychologa zarówno indywidualnie jak również poprzez uczestnictwo w zajęciach grupowych.
