W cichej i spokojnej części Zamościa, pośród zatopionej w licznej zieleni zabudowie jednorodzinnej, w niedalekiej odległości od centrum miasta i tym samym od licznych punktów handlowych i usługowych, położony jest Dom Pomocy Społecznej, przeznaczony dla 52 wychowanek niesprawnych intelektualnie w stopniu znacznym i głębokim. Placówka zarządzana jest przez Zgromadzenie Sióstr Franciszkanek Misjonarek Maryi. Baza mieszkaniowa to 8 pokoi 2 osobowych, 5 pokoi 3 osobowych oraz dwie sale 4 osobowe przeznaczone dla osób leżących. Pokoje nie posiadają węzłów sanitarnych, dlatego do dyspozycji Mieszkanek przygotowano 4 łazienki wspólne. Dom posiada udogodnienia dla osób niepełnosprawnych (podjazd, winda). W najbliższym otoczeniu Placówki znajduje się uroczy ogród, który umożliwia mieszkankom spędzać mile wolny czas, przy jednoczesnym zdobywaniu licznych umiejętności podczas jego pielęgnacji i rozwoju. Ponadto obok ogrodu znajdują się alejki parkowe, z ławkami oraz huśtawkami, idealne miejsce do spotkań i błogiego wypoczynku. Do dyspozycji mieszkanek przeznaczono również: wannę do zabiegów (hydro masaż), salę rehabilitacji, pomieszczenia do terapii zajęciowej.
Dom zapewnia całodobową opiekę, wyżywienie, pomoc medyczną, zabiegi rehabilitacyjne oraz terapeutyczne, ogromny nacisk kładziony jest na rozwój osobisty poprzez udział w licznych zajęciach, m. in. muzykoterapii, kulinarnych, plastycznych oraz imprezach kulturalnych, i sportowych.
