DPS Iwonicz Zdrój
Na obrzeżach Iwonicza Zdrój, w cichej i bardzo spokojnej okolicy, w otoczeniu zabudowy jednorodzinnej, położony jest Dom Pomocy Społecznej, przeznaczony dla 105 dorosłych kobiet i mężczyzn niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie. Placówka prowadzona jest przez Konwent Ojców Bonifratrów pw. św. Elżbiety Węgierskiej – opiera się na wartościach chrześcijańskich i charyzmacie szpitalnictwa zapoczątkowanym przez św. Jana Bożego. Zabudowania Domu to kompleks nowoczesnych, pozbawionych barier architektonicznych, spełniających najwyższe wymogi, budynków mieszkalnych. Najbliższe otoczenie przeznaczone jest na rozległy teren rekreacyjny, na którym znajdują się liczne alejki spacerowe, miejsca relaksu, a także sprzyjające aktywności – np. boisko sportowe. Baza mieszkaniowa to bardzo przytulne jedno, dwu i trzyosobowe pokoje. Podopieczni o różnym stopniu upośledzenia funkcjonują w sześciu grupach mieszkalnych. Ponadto do dyspozycji pozostają liczne pomieszczenia wspólne – świetlice, zaplecze terapeutyczne, baza rehabilitacyjna, kuchnia z jadalnią oraz kaplica.

DPS zapewnia całodobową opiekę, pomoc medyczną, zajęcia rehabilitacyjne oraz terapeutyczne, które odbywają się w wielu specjalnie przygotowanych pracowniach – artystycznej, tkackiej, kulinarnej, bibliotecznej, ergoterapeutycznej. Uwieńczeniem twórczej pracy są organizowane wystawy oraz przeglądy artystyczne. Ponadto Placówka organizuje zajęcia hipoterapii. Czas wolny wypełniają liczne imprezy okolicznościowe, spotkania towarzyskie oraz integracyjne, wycieczki, udział w turnusach rehabilitacyjnych, pielgrzymkach… Po więcej szczegółów odsyłam na stronę internetową Domu, link poniżej.
